    Tim Hitchcock
    Art Director
Tim graduated from East Valley in 1987, then went to Perry Tech where he earned a Graphic arts certificate. After graduating, he became a graphic artist within the community for a number of years. Eventually, Tim felt he needed a change. He found that he enjoyed working with students more than clients, so with this in mind, he attended Heritage University to obtain his teaching certificate in Visual Arts. In 2012, he joined the staff here at EVHS, and continues to share both his skill and his love of the Arts with the students.
  1. “The Arts are an essential element of education, just like Reading, Writing and Arithmetic… Music, Dance, Painting and Theatre are all keys that unlock profound human understanding and accomplishment.”
-William Bennett Former US Secretary of Education
  1. Art
Our Art Department students have the opportunity to take General Art, Beginning & Advanced Drawing as well as Ceramics I & II. Having a variety of choices allows for students to explore the world of Art at a level that they feel comfortable. Mr. Hitchcock also leads the Art Club, an extra-curricular activity where students explore Art more deeply and do special projects such as painting the high school logo at center field for the 2015 Homecoming game. Some of these students also help with set design for our theatrical productions. Please see our page to view some projects of current and former EVHS Art students!
  2. Band - General, Jazz & Pep
Our Music Department has several ways to be involved. Leading the way is Band. Those students wishing to express their school spirit through their instrument can participate in Pep Band. More advanced students interested in expressing their musical talents can participate in Jazz Band. Please visit our page for more information about our band offerings and projects!
  3. EVHS Choir
Choir has only recently returned to the halls of EVHS, but has enjoyed a fresh new start! The students participate in assemblies and annual concerts. Some choir members are also members of Red Devil Theatre Company. Please visit our page for up to date information.
  4. Red Devil Theatre Company
